Our staff is experienced and dedicated to the health of your furry family members. Led by Dr.
Earl Jones they are committed to providing our patients with a complete and personal health package.
Dr.
Earl Jones
Dr.
Jones earned a Doctor of Veterinary of
Medicine degree from Auburn University in 1979. In June of 1979 he started the practice here at Cahaba Mountain
Brook Animal Clinic.
The last 30 years have seen many changes to and much
growth of the practice. His
family members have always been an integral part of the
clinic. Earl's sister Margaret Jones Davis is the head
of the Creative Dog Training with the help of her sons
Damian and Conor Davis. Sister Barbara is behind the
scenes keeping the business together while her daughter
Leigh is seen daily in the clinic reception.
Dr. Jones has a wife, Ann, and three children,
Amelia,
age 28, Virginia, age 26, and Patrick, age 17.
Ann's sisters Amy and Robin have been there from the
beginning to the present to contribute their talents.
Amy is the Cat Care Specialist and Robin is the
Webmaster for this website.
Some of Dr. Jones' outside interests include hiking,
backpacking, running, swimming, biking, rafting, music,
and friends.

Dr. J.
Chandler McGee
Dr
McGee was born in Eutaw, AL and attended Greene County
Schools. After graduating, he enrolled at Auburn
University and graduated with his Doctorate in
Veterinary Medicine in 1964. After an internship and
three year practice stint in Las Vegas, Nevada, Dr McGee
returned to open a practice in Birmingham, AL. In June
2004, Dr. McGee and Dr. Earl Jones combined their
practices. Dr. McGee lives in Vestavia with his wife,
Sharon and their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Luke.
Dr. Darcy
G. Schofill
Dr. Schofill grew up in Birmingham
and attended Birmingham-Southern College where she
majored in Biology and French. She then received her
Masters in Reproductive Physiology with a minor in
Cellular and Molecular Biosciences at Auburn University.
After graduating from Auburn University College of
Veterinary Medicine in 2005, Dr. Schofill practiced in
Phoenix, Arizona for a few years before returning to the
Birmingham area. She is excited to be a part of the
CMBAC family. She and her husband, D.J. live in Hoover
with their cat, Great Dane, and Labrador/Golden
Retriever mix.
Lorelei
Greene, Head Veterinary Technician
Lorelei grew up in Philadelphia, PA. After five years of
service in the United States Navy, she was honorably
discharged in 2001 and moved to Birmingham to be closer
to family. She quickly found a home in Veterinary
Medicine and now has eight years experience as a
technician, two of which were spent in Emergency Care.
She has now been a proud member of the CMBAC family
since 2005. Lorelei and her husband Mitch live in
Columbiana with their new baby boy, six cats and three
dogs.
Elicia
Hicks, Licensed Veterinary Technician
Elicia grew up in Mobile, AL and relocated to Birmingham
with her husband in February 2004. She received her
Associates degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine from
Faulkner State Community College in May 2001. She then
went on to obtain her B.S. in Zoology/Pre-Vet from
Auburn University in May 2003. After moving to
Birmingham and working in veterinary medicine for a
couple of years, she decided to pursue a license in
Veterinary Technology which she obtained in 2007. She
has been a part of the CMBAC team since February 2008
and has thoroughly enjoyed working here. She now
resides in Alabaster with her husband and their two
children.
